Meet A VWMC Donor

The choir is grateful to each of you that choose to give whether as one-time or monthly donors. From time to time we will be showcasing one of our donors to share their connection to the choir and why they give.

This month we’d like to introduce you to D’Anne.

What’s your connection to the choir?

I was introduced to the choir in 2005 through a member named Frank Dolman. I even had the great pleasure traveling with the choir in 2006, 2009, and 2012! Someday, perhaps again

Why do you give?

Their music lifts my spirits. I appreciate being able to support a group of local musicians who clearly love music and have great camaraderie. It’s more than just the music; they are also lovely people.

What is your favourite memory of the VWMC?

Listening to the choir sing Loch Lomond, with that fantastic arrangement by their director Jonathan, on the banks of the Loch Lomond in Scotland! Oh my. A venue a bit different from where I was in other times – sitting on the steps of the Cambrian Hall – listening to the choir rehearse, but that too was memorable.
