The Vancouver Welsh Men’s Choir is an acclaimed Celtic choir that enjoys performing a wide repertoire of traditional and contemporary choral music. Almost one hundred members strong, we have moved many audiences over the years with the unique and powerful resonance of our voices singing in four-part harmony.
Our performances reflect our Celtic heritage, but we enjoy stretching the boundaries of tradition to be inclusive of new music and the broad range of ethnicities that comprise our choir. Motivated by a shared passion to create music that is warming, resounding and infectious, we enjoy having fun with music, with each other and with our audiences! Come to a show to see for yourself!
Giving back to the community is very important to our choir. We give away at least 5% of tickets for every show free of charge, to shut-ins and other folks in need. Over the years, we have performed at benefit concerts to raise money for worthy causes.
Currently, we are partnering with St. James Music Academy who do wonderful work teaching music to underprivileged children in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. We also offer music bursary opportunities each year to two post-secondary students studying music.
