We need your help!

You may know the Vancouver Welsh Men’s Choir as one of BC’s premier performing groups that has been entertaining audiences locally and around the world for 40 years. While maintaining the important Celtic male choral tradition, we have created a unique Vancouver choir which is cosmopolitan and includes 95 singing members from 24 different cultural backgrounds. We’re proud of our contribution to the Vancouver Arts Scene and have every intention of continuing for the next 40 years – despite current Covid challenges!

Did you also know that, over the years, the income from our performances has allowed us to support a number of community programmes? Your financial support will help us cover the continuing costs to maintain the choir and its programmes. You can find out more about these below.

Please see below for the ways in which we recognise our donors.

Should you wish to donate by cheque, please make it payable to ‘Vancouver Welsh Men’s Choir’ and mail to the attention of The Treasurer at Box 2978, Main PO, Vancouver, BC V6B 3X4. Thank you!

Encouraging Young Musicians

Sharing concerts with high school choirs, bursaries for music students and a new partnership with St. James Music Academy, which offers music instruction to disadvantaged children in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.

Reaching Out to Seniors

We are proud to offer them high quality familiar music at an accessible price, especially at our annual November Remembrance concerts and our Christmas series has become part of the seasonal celebration for many. We also offer complimentary tickets to each to seniors and shut-ins, who would not otherwise be able to attend. Like all Canadians, we’ve been so saddened to see the images of seniors isolated from their loved ones and the things that give them pleasure during Covid-19 restrictions. So we’re working on a way to sing to care homes and shut-ins online.
