We are eager to share the joy of our performances with everyone, especially those who may not be able to afford tickets to attend our shows. We allocate 5% of the available seats at each of our shows to shut-ins and those in need through local community agencies. If you represent a community group or are an interested individual, then please get in touch today!
Giving back to the community is important to us. We have worked closely with the Salvation Army and we are currently partnering with St. James Music Academy which provides music teaching for underprivileged children in Vancouver’s downtown eastside.
On March 17th, 2018, our Celtic choir was delighted to present a cheque for $21,905 to the Salvation Army. The money was raised through the proceeds of a series of concerts performed between 2015 and 2017. These concerts were made possible through the generosity of Bader Philanthropies, whose support we are infinitely grateful for. We are always on the lookout for opportunities to partner with philanthropic organizations. Please get in touch for more information.
The Vancouver Welsh Men’s Choir is a registered charity and relishes the support of our generous donors and volunteers. Without our loyal supporters, we wouldn’t be able to share our joy of singing with audiences across Vancouver and The Lower Mainland. We are extremely grateful for donations from both individuals and corporate sponsors wishing to support us, your generosity is hugely appreciated by all of us in the choir.
