A Gift of the Celtic Spirit

A year ago at this time, we had to make the difficult decision to cancel our Celtic Fest concerts due to COVID-19. Little did we know what we faced in the year ahead!

For the past twelve months, we have continued to work in whatever way we could while abiding by the province’s health guidelines. In the summer, we had outdoor rehearsals and now we manage to continue through online ones! Thank goodness for technology allowing the music to continue.

However, we have not yet been able to perform for you. We felt this gap at Remembrance Day, Christmas, and now we feel it once again during a time when we would normally be performing for you at the Vancouver Celtic Fest.

But we hope the end is in sight! We are grateful to all the frontline staff from grocery clerks to postal workers to healthcare professionals for everything they have done for us in the last year.

So for now, until we can perform for you again, we would like to provide you with a small gift of the Celtic spirit in advance of St Patrick’s Day. We hope you enjoy this short video of two of our favourite Celtic classics. And, as always, we have selected two pieces of music for you that are free to download on our website.
